Clare Chandler's presentation from Great Practice In seminar online

Thursday, 11 June 2009 15:41

At the second of SELLLN's Great Practice In series, held on 10 June 2009, Clare Chandler delivered a presentation on Researching Barriers to Progression. The seminar was well received and, despite a cross network tube strike on the day, well attended by delegates!

The research project has explored progression from Foundation Degrees on to honours degrees and the provision of vocational postgraduate programmes. At the seminar, delegates raised a number of thought provoking questions, such as:

  • How can the needs of part-time learners be met, such as more flexible access to Information, Advice, and Guidance, administration staff, IT support, etc.?
  • How could  good practice in progression to HE from Access to HE Diploma courses be utilised for Foundation Degrees?

A summary of the report will be available online soon.
